1. Bingsu(빙수) is a popular Korean dessert made with shaved ice and a variety of toppings.

2. Bingsu was a snack for the kings of the Joseon Dynasty.
Summer in Korea is very hot and humid. So people wanted cold snack. And In early modern period, ice was very rare. So only the royal family and a few nobles ate Bingsu.

3. The shaved ice is typically flavored with condensed milk or syrup, and then topped with various ingredients such as fruits, nuts, beans, cookies, chocolate, or candy. Some common toppings include red bean paste (patbingsu), fruit such as strawberries or mangoes, cereal flakes, and sweetened condensed milk.Bingsu can be enjoyed year-ound, but it is especially popular during the hot summer months as a refreshing treat. It is often served in large portions and can be shared among several people.

If you want to feel the taste of Korea, I recommend you to try patbingsu(topping red bean pasted). Red bean paste is a taste everyone will love.
